Montego Bay

Following the A1 along the north coast from Montego Bay to Negril arrive, the tourist capital of Jamaica. Here the range of leisure is very similar to that offered Negril or Ocho Rios: white sand beaches, craft markets and a vibrant music scene. If you want to live a strange and different experience, 28 km west is Sandy Bay, which organizes horse riding on the beach by Chukka Caribbean Adventures, Sandy Bay for about 3 hours costing $58. This same activity can take place in St. Ann’s Bay, on the same highway A1, near Ocho Rios.

Montego Bay is a good base for exploring the north coast. A few kilometers from the town are the Dunn’s River Falls, cascades a series of staggered descended about 180 meters and led to the beach. It is allowed to swim in the pools and waterfalls back inside water; so yes, we suggest you do some of the hands of an expert guide, they are familiar with the terrain and the guides will expect a tip. On the beach there are lockers. Close to Dunn’s River Falls is Dolphin Cove, where you can swim with dolphins. Fun is guaranteed.

In Montego Bay you will find accommodation in large hotels and resorts. This area is also equipped with a wide range of small guest houses, hotels and lodgings isolated well suited to wild and untouched environment in the area. If you want a little luxury and enjoy a truly memorable stay warm and we recommend that an oasis of peace with rooms open directly into the sea and a special decoration made by hand. In his restaurants open-air test prawns with coconut and spicy lobster.

The hotels also contribute actively in the Montego Bay Hotel and Tourist Association foundation for development aid from the natives and environmental programs and schools.
